General information
Wax - the main product as a currency for ancient farmers and merchants. Huge demand for wax came from churches , especially the Orthodox churches , so they could make the holy-wax candles. Year 1212 marked the first Latgalian and Livonian uprising that erupted in a bloody battle against the German knights, because they took their bee trees and cornfields. Latgalians were ready to give up their cornfields, but not their bee trees. Angry Livonian and Latgalian crowds abandoned the Christian faith and the battle continued for a further long years .
Our family-owned company keeps our centuries-old ancestral traditions and creats a high quality rustic design candles by using modern technologies. Our candles are currently in a high demand in Northern and West Europe, the United States and Australia as well.
